What is the WEEE Directive? The WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Directive) aims to reduce the waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment; and improve the environmental performance of all those involved in the life cycle of electrical and electronic equipment. Private householders will be able to return their WEEE to collection facilities free of charge. Producers will be responsible for financing the collection, treatment, recovery and disposal of WEEE from private households deposited at these collection facilities. Amway meets its obligation to the WEEE Directive in Ireland through membership of WEEE Ireland (AMW100) a Government approved Compliance Scheme and the WEEE Register Society Ltd (IE 00719WB). Amway makes a contribution, to a producer-recycling fund (PRF) to ensure that electrical and electronic waste is collected and recycled in a responsible manner.
