How an ABO makes money as a Retail Consultant

In essence, the Business Opportunity is very simple. As a Retail Consultant, an Amway Business owner will receive ‘Customer Volume Rebate’, also known as CVR. This is calculated at  25% of the value of all orders the Business Owner procures (exclusive of VAT) once the minimum value of £100/€125 of product orders (inclusive of VAT) is reached in a given month.

For example:

  • If you have £99/€124.50 of product orders (including VAT), you will not receive any CVR.

However,

  • If you have £100/€125 of product orders (including VAT), you will receive a CVR of 25% of the total order amount less VAT.

The calculation is as follows based on 20% VAT for the UK and 21% VAT for Ireland:

UK: Retail price / 120 x 20 = VAT. Deduct VAT from retail price and multiply by 25%.

Ireland: Retail price / 121 x 21 = VAT. Deduct VAT from retail price and multiply by 25%.

EG: £100 retail = £20.84 CVR, €125 retail = €25.83

The CVR payment is paid directly into a specified UK/Irish bank account on a weekly basis once £100/€125 in sales have been achieved in any one month. Following this if £20/€20 is earned in CVR on a weekly basis, Amway will continue to make weekly payments.

If an Amway Business Owner earns CVR during the month and then places a small order for example towards the end of the month and doesn’t hit the £20/€20 target, then the payment will be made the following month, around the 15th.

In addition to CVR, an Amway Business Owner may be eligible to participate in special Sales Incentive Programmes that are designed to encourage and further reward sales efforts. These discretionary programmes, and the terms on which you can participate, are communicated by Amway time to time.
